Halloween Cards

Jeanette made a journal this weekend and I couldn't bare to throw away the scrap paper so I made these 2 cards with my Cricut.  I especially love the cat with the pumpkin, way cute!

Halloween Invites

The theme for the Halloween party this year is Zombies.  I am a little disappointed, I have such a collection of cute monsters, pretty witch.es, wiggle eyes and bling.  Here are the 2 prototypes, we are going with the invite on the left.  Cut with my new Cricut cartridge, Frightful Afair.  At least I got to use my new cartridge.

Stamp-a-Faire Limited Supply Challenge

Cards were made for Stamp-a-Faire Limited Supply Challenge.  The top card (which I can't seem to turn around) was based on Ashley Cannon Newell's card.  I used stamps from Half and Half and Simple Sunflowers, totally changed up the colors.  The second was a pretty close lift of Betsy Veldman's card although I used stamps from Day Dreamer and used the Fillable Frames #10 die for my window.  The 3rd card was a copy of Nichole's  original card but I used Simple Sunflower stamps for my flowers and my sentiment is from the Half and Half set.  Link to the challenge with tutorials can be found here:

Stamp-a-Faire Mini Book Challenge

My pics are out of order that bottom picture is actually the cover.  This little book is SO CUTE.  I ended up buying the die that we used to cut the pages.  All PTI products, the stamps used were primarily Round and Round and Day Dreamer.  Tutorial and posts can be found here:

Foam drink cozies with Cricut

I saved this idea a long time ago, wish I could find the blog I got it from, but basically just cut vinyl names and designs and burnished them on to foam drink cozies that I bought for next to nothing at the end of last summer.  I made one each for Jackie, Jeanette, and my 3 nieces.

OK, got lots of cards made at the Hillvue crop over the weekend.  These are just my originals, there are a ton more that I lifted from other people, LOL.  The patriotic cupcakes are just a Studio G stamp and leftover papers.  Ride Em Cowboy is cut at 3.2" from County Fair and face stamped with retro Peachy Keen faces, LOVE them.  Circus lion is cut at 5" from Wild Card 2.  The Patriotic Flag was another attempt at using up stuff.  The paper was from an old scrapbooking "page-a-day" calendar while the flag and star was from my collection of old Deluxe Cuts laser cuts I never used!  The vintage man and women are cut from Art Deco, I love these but wow, a lot of tiny details to cut.  The blue flower card I whipped up from leftovers from a scrapbook page from a class from who knows how long ago, Anna Griffin, probably CK convention pieces left over.  "Lovely" is made from DCWV Lady Couture stack and a couple of misc. die cuts, this is a GREAT paperpad for making cards, the images are awesome, very little work to do.  And last is surfer dude, how cool is he?  Cut at 5" the surfer is from H20 and the island is from Pack Your Bags.  This cute guy's face is also stamped with those retro faces from Peachy Keen.

Why do these blog sites have to continually change their format?  And why is my picture sideways with no option to rotate?  GRRRR.  I can only hope someone can see and enjoy my posts now!  At any rate, here are some cards I made for Card Cupids, they will be donated to children and young adults with serious illnesses, in shelters, etc.  The blue/black/ white cards I submitted for a challenge on the storyteller's board, a neat way to think of some new ideas.  The cow I actually made 3 of, this is my first project with my new County Fair cartridge, he is super cute.  I went back later and added glossy accents to the bell around their necks, added a nice touch.

More cards for donation, these were quick and easy using stickers from Mighty $ and stamps, paper and punches from my stash.

A layout I completed for a challenge.  The challenge was to use the word "new", an image of a tree and an image of a bird.  I don't make too many layouts these days so I was pretty proud of this, images cut with Cricut of course.  This is Jackie's new kitty, Kiara.

Here are some cards I made today for some children in need of a smile.  Check out Card Cupid's blog, they collect handmade cards and such for children and others facing serious illnesses.

I especially like those rockin' boys I made with the Teen Paper Doll cartridge, that is a fun cartridge!  I have no idea why the flamingo card is sideways, but flamingos are funny like that.

More Easter treats

I made these cute little jars for my coworkers and for my family for tomorrow.  Totally copied from the 2012 1st quarter Hobby Lobby magazine.  I cut my shapes out of the Cricut and used sparkly pompoms.  Jars were 1/2 price at HL last week and then just filled with candy.

Happy Easter

I am really happy with this.  Jackie and Eric are getting Crockpots for Easter, the bottom is a 5qt and the top is a mini.  Bunny features cut with Slumber Party and carrot is from Simply Charmed.

I made the Happy Easter sign for work and brought it home tonight.  Cut on the Big Cricut with the 24" mat it's pretty big.  I think all of these cuts are from the Easter lite cartridge with the addition of wiggle eyes of course!
Jeanette's Easter gift is in this customized gift bag, I love that chick, I think it's from Simply Charmed but don't remember for sure.  Grass was punched with the Fiskar's grass punch.

Projects from a scrappy weekend

Had a great time scrapbooking with friends this weekend and really got quite a bit accomplished!  The tags are created with a very cool stamp set from CTMH, I plan to use those on knitted scarves I have been selling.

I love the bunny cards, I made several of each.  The top card was my design, I stamped bunnies from a mini We R Memory Keepers set and eggs from a Studio G Easter set and cut them out.  The grass I made with a Fiskar's grass punch and the clouds were made with a Quickutz die.  I really like it.  The second Easter card was made with the Peeps stamps from CTMH, and I was inspired by a card made by a CTMH consultant I saw somewhere on the internet.  The envelopes were made with paper from Hobby Lobby.

The Enjoy the Ride cards with the cars on them were created with stamps by Paper Trey Ink, by all time favorite stamps.

Finally, the layout which I love and it has pictures on it, woo hoo!  This was from a pattern I purchased from Monique Griffith Designs, I love her work.  Check her out at www.moniquegriffithDesigns.com.

Spring bulletin board

Here is the bulletin board at work made over for spring, created by a group of us in the IT department using lots of fun Cricut cuts.  The answer to the question can be found along the border of the board with typed out words like "customer service, team work", etc...

More scrapbook room pictures

Scrapbook room is almost done and mostly moved into.  I love my new stamping station, Jackie's old desk, and Wayne built the white case that holds my CD  boxes, custom fit to the boxes.  He put in all the shelves, built the cubbies, and installed the island and counter top.  He is awesome.  I actually have 3 of the shoe organizers over 2 doors (1 on each side of the closet door).  2 have all punches and the 3rd I am going to use for misc. embellishments, brads, etc that are laying around.

more scrap room pictures

Filling up my cubes.  My mom made me curtains with cute bird fabric I picked out at Joanne's in Nashville.  They are very "1970's" looking, I love them!  More pictures to come!

Scrap Room

I have not posted in forever.  I have not been able to upload photos, but tonight, success!  Wayne has started converting Jackie's bedroom into my scrap room, I am so psyched!  Here are a couple of pictures, can't wait to start filling up my space!
