Disney tags

Wow it's been a long time since I posted anything!  Here is a set of Christmas tags I made for a swap partner.  She likes Disney so I thought I would make all Disney related tags and use some of those Disney cartridges I hardly ever use!

Wayne's Birthday

So the SEI paper "by land" really makes this gift bag, card and envelope look so good.  I wish I would have bought more, this is really great guy paper, it was on clearance on http://www.shopsei.com.  Car on the card was cut with Groovy Times, just left it plain like a shadow.  The "happy birthday" on the gift bag was cut with Birthday Bash and popped up with pop dots.

birthday bags

Never mind the junk in the background, just wanted to show the 2 gift bags I made for Eric's birthday.  Love using my scrapbook supplies for other projects.  Both are super easy.  I don't have written instructions for the big bag but here is a tutorial for the mini bag, it's so cute!

Party invite

A friend at work wanted to make invitations for her daughter's birthday party. Well, as soon as the Cricut lovers in the group heard that we immediately jumped at the chance to help. A group of us came up with these and we created them over a couple of lunch hours, it was really fun and they turned out pretty cute, too!

Weekend projects

I did find a little time to work on a couple of projects today. The card is made with PTI stamps, a total scrap lift from their gallery, I made a couple as I thought the deer was cute and the saying clever. The envelops were totally my creation, I am quite happy with them. I was inspired after looking at some new scrapbook paper by Canvas Corp that is Kraft with dark brown designs imprinted on them. I took a plain brown bag I received from a shopping trip and cut it into 2 -8" squares, stamped the squares randomly with chocolate chip ink using stamps by PTI, and folded them into these cute envelopes using my Martha Stewart score board. I have been making envies like crazy lately. Thought these were fun.

So long since I have posted, not much crafting this summer I guess. Melissa and I finally got that bulletin board up today, wow, it looks pretty good if I do say so myself. Just a few more pictures to add.

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge-4th of July

I made these cute treat boxes for Jeanette and her cousins for our 4th of July picnic. The box is cut from Once Upon a Princess at 5.5". The girl is cut from Block Party at 5", I substituted a little fire cracker for her flower. The pinwheel is cut from Mother's Day at 5.5".

Happy Father's Day

Jeanette made this card for Wayne, it's hysterical. The muscle man is from the Carousel cartridge. She thought he needed pants and a shirt so we cut the image twice more to make muscle man have some clothes. Muscle man Wayne is holding a cat (Simba) and a giant chocolate sandwich cookie. The "DD" stands for "Dino Dad", a nickname Jeanette calls him by.

Dad Card

My take on the Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge. Cuts are from the Father's Day Cartridge (except the banner), all cut and sized on the Gypsy to fit on A2 card base.

Circle Blog Monthly Challenge Entry

Here is my entry for the June Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge. I made 2 identical boxes, shown is the front of one and the back of another. The take out boxes were from Walmart, diecuts all from Cricut/ Gypsy using George, H2O, Just Because Cards, Luau, Mini Monograms, and Summer Vacation. Now to decide what to fill these with, we leave for NY in 2 weeks!

A card and an update

It's been almost 3 weeks since I last posted, I finally got my log in info for the Cricut Circle, it really took a long time. I still have my membership cartridge coming in the mail, but in the meantime I got into the blog, on line mags, etc, pretty neat. There is a lot of fun info out there. The best deal for me was the circle exclusive items on the rewards program site. I ordered the following 4 cartridges for a total of $16 and 4000 points, that's only $4 per cartridge including shipping, I am so psyched! Nursery Rhymes, Shall we Dance, Holiday Cakes, and the first circle exclusive, French Manor!

I have not posted any pictures as my printer/ scanner has been out of commission, but I am back in business now. Here is a card I made today with PTI stamps and printed paper. Love it! Inspired by a cherry card they posted on one of their DT's blogs, I made 6 of these with just one 8x8 sheet of printed paper. The smudge near the berry is on the scanner, not the card, I can't seem to get that stupid scanner clean!

Happy Mother's Day

Yes, I got my flowers, planted in the garden. 4 of them and they are beautiful. They are actually rockin'. No really, they are Jethro Tull flowers. Who knew? Wayne grilled out so I did not have to cook which was great. Great gifts from the kids, and check out the cute purse card Jeanette made. She researched the pattern on the internet, it's so cute I can hardly stand it! Also got a laser jet printer which I really really wanted, yay! More later on the amazing NSD weekend we had.

Mother's Day is nearing

Mom's day is getting close. Here is a card I made for my mom based on an idea I saw in a magazine. I finally got to use my We R Memory Keeper's stitch stuff! The other cards are part of a set of note cards I made my mom for a gift. They are a direct scraplift from PTI blogs, I just love them, plan to make more this weekend!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! Had a great day scrapbooking at the club house, thanks so much to Betty for hostessing once again. I make these cute bunny baskets and wrapped candy bars for our celebration. Thanks to Michelle Hornback for the bunny instructions, I added some Cricut cuts and created a cute basket out of her posted idea.

3/22 Cricut Chirp

I am a little behind on email, I just realized that one of the cards I made at retreat was featured in the 3/22 Cricut Chirp, how cool is that? I don't post a lot there, but the card they chose was the flower from 50States (see my 3/18 post). I am guessing it was chosen because that is one of those cartridges that is kind of hard to use some times! Here is a link to the Chirp, see "Message Board Highlights" and my link is "50 States Flower Card".

Another weekend ended

The weekends go way too fast. I did manage to cook, clean and craft, so it's not all lost. Jackie and I even walked 3 miles today, it was so hot I thought I was going to pass out! I worked on swap projects, what else. Here are 2 hanging post cards I made with supplies from Crafty Secrets. I would really like to keep them for myself, but they are for a swap.

Cards from Retreat

I really got a lot done at retreat, just haven't posted anything. Here are a few of my cards for your viewing pleasure:

1) Top O' the Morning' is a 4x5 card front. I made 50 of them from Spring Holiday Cards. They are invites for a teacher appreciation breakfast at Drakes Creek. I will add the invite info on a label and adhere to the backs.

2) Skunk holding #7 is a standard sized card I made using Birthday Bash for my niece who I now realized is turning 8. Oh well. I am sure someone will turn 7 someday!

3) Purple/ Black Flower is a standard sized card with a flower cut from 50 States, how about that! I used some Cuttlebug folders to add dimension and a gem in the flower center. This card will be for someone on a swap board. I hope they like it!

4) The bear was a make and take at retreat. The image can be printed from a Flower Soft CD. We then just added Flower Soft to the flowers. I double matted and added a ribbon and bow made with DW's Bow Maker. And my very own Bow Maker arrived with several others yesterday, LOL!

Paris Birthday

Jeanette is going to a birthday party this weekend for a friend who is into the Paris themed stuff. I whipped up this gift bag and card for her tonight, I hope she likes it. The poodle is cut from Once Upon a Princess, the Eiffel Tower is cut from Wall Decor. Pink bag compliments Mighty Dollar.

Simba likes to scrap

It's true, Simba likes to scrapbook. He especially likes the Cricut, he likes to bat at the mat as it goes in and out of the machine.

Glasses

So I made an eye exam because I noticed I have had some trouble with small print, thought maybe I needed reading glasses. Well good grief, my eye sight is terrible, I need bifocals! So there goes a chunk of my HSA money, but at least I had it saved, glasses are VERY expensive! I needed a pair for the computer too, groan.

Card Making Weekend

Made these for a swap (what else is new?). Craft Day and Leprechaun from Simply Charmed (yes, I finally ordered it, have been longing after it for months). Perfume bottle cut from Paisley at 3". Craft Day pieces cut at 3", Leprechaun cut at 4", I hid his face on Gypsy and opted instead to stamp the face with Peachy Keen stamps.

Gypsy Update

FYI, there are updates ready for your Gypsy. I can't download mine until tomorrow or Sunday as my MB allowance is dangerously low. Not sure what is in the update, Hello Thursday posted just one new cartridge, a baby theme, I am not interested in that anyhow. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Happy Valentine's Day

Mine is off to a rocky start, it was a rough morning, but hopefully the day will look up soon. I'll spare you the details. However, I am wearing my heart jewelry and my hear turtleneck. Last weekend I cut vinyl hearts and a vinyl cupid for my front window. It's hard to see it with all the SUN coming in the window, YAY SUN! The hearts are red and cupid is black. I think they turned out pretty cute. Cupid is on the Sweetheart's Cartridge.

Crop 4 a Cure

We had a great weekend cropping together, I got to spend time with both my BG friends and my Franklin/ TN friends, I really enjoyed our time together. Posting my Hippo card which I really like. Cut 4" with Birthday Bash, it fit a standard card envelope perfectly. Run through the Cuttlebug I love his bumpy skin. Enjoy some pictures of friends scrapping together!

Jackie's Birthday Card

Here is a card that I made for Jackie's birthday. It's a gift card holder. The paper I bought and was saving for something special, turning 22 seemed pretty special to me! The cupcake I cut from Cricut with Birthday Bash. The bottom part I ran through a Cuttlebug folder, the top was cut with very glittery pink paper. Here is a link to the gift card tutorial: http://rubberromancestamps.blogspot.com/2009/11/tutorial-gift-card-holder.html
